Overage rate: The overage rate is the rate you will pay if you go over your allotted number of free pages per month. This cost is the fax software version of cell phone overage minutes. Sometimes the overage rate varies depending on whether the overage pages are send or receive pages.

: Some email fax online services charge you per page of faxing regardless of the amount of time it takes them to send the fax. So if a 1-page fax takes 3 minutes to send, fax by internet providers that charge you per page would only charge you for 1 page of faxing.

Minutes: Some computer fax software providers charge you per minute of faxing regardless of the number of pages you’re sending. So if you’re sending a 4-page fax that takes 1 minute to send, fax providers that charge you per minute would only charge you for 1 minute of faxing.

Users/Email aliases: Users (aka email aliases) typically define how many email addresses can be setup to receive incoming faxes. So if the number of users is 5, then 5 email addresses can be setup to receive incoming faxes.

Porting: Porting refers to the transfer of a number from one carrier to another. There are sometimes fees to port in your number and fees to port out your number. The fees vary based on your provider.
